A note from the studio
Our three founders shot weddings, portraits and commercial work out of a shared studio in Portland. Their WordPress sites were slow, their Squarespace galleries charged them per image, and their Pixieset accounts belonged to a company that could change pricing without asking. None of those platforms were built for the working photographer—they were built for everyone, and then retrofitted with a photography skin.
So we built one for the working photographer.
Every gallery template on PhotoWebs Studio is a single-page image-first composition that loads in under a second on hotel Wi-Fi. Every booking widget starts from the assumption that you run sessions, not meetings. Every upload pipeline handles a 400-file RAW folder the way Capture One handles it—locally first, then quietly turning out JPEGs, AVIF and WebP variants in the background. You own your domain, your client list, and your pipeline. We just keep the lights on.

Chapter 01 · Galleries
Four gallery archetypes cover the ways photographers actually present work. Each ships with proofing, favorites, video clips, and password protection built in — no plugin installs, no template surgery.
01 · Full-bleed editorial
A magazine-spread opening image with the gallery title set in display serif over a soft scrim. Continues into a multi-row masonry that holds its composition on every breakpoint. Loads in a median 0.9s—four times faster than the average photographer’s WordPress gallery.
02 · Client proofing
Send a password-protected set to a client. They star selects, leave comments anchored to a frame, and a printed proofs list arrives in your inbox the moment they click save. Watermarks apply automatically—lifted on download of the final selects.
03 · Cinematic + video
Drop 4K clips into the same grid as RAW stills and the layout adjusts: portrait crops for vertical video, 2.39:1 letterbox for cinema, inline autoplay on hover. Caption metadata and EXIF stay attached to every frame.
04 · Protected + archival
Build a private vault for unreleased commercial work or a decade-deep wedding archive with per-set passwords, expiry dates and download limits. Sets stay indexed for your search but hidden from public crawlers.
Chapter 02 · Built-in booking
Most booking tools were designed for consultants and dentists. Ours was designed by wedding, portrait and commercial photographers who kept losing hours to Dubsado, HoneyBook and three calendars. Deposits, questionnaires, shoot types, calendar sync—all in one place, all configured once.
Chapter 03 · RAW-to-Web
PhotoWebs Studio is the only website builder with a native RAW-to-Web pipeline. Drop a folder of CR3, NEF, ARW or RAF files into the studio dashboard and we generate optimized JPEGs plus AVIF and WebP variants, with matching gallery metadata. No third-party uploader, no desktop app, no late-night Lightroom export session.
Drag a session folder onto the browser, or sync a watched folder from your NAS. We read EXIF, IPTC and XMP on import so gallery metadata starts correct.
Our pipeline runs server-side debayering tuned for portrait skin tones and editorial color science. A 400-file wedding ingests in roughly the time it takes to make coffee.
Pick a gallery archetype, set a cover, and the variants go live with srcset already wired for AVIF, WebP and JPEG fallback. Edits drop back in by re-uploading the folder—file names are preserved.
Chapter 04 · The client experience
From the moment a proofing link goes out to the package that arrives at the front door, every client-facing step ships out-of-the-box. Four numbered panels, no plugin installs.
Send a password-protected set with a comment and a star system that syncs back to the studio in real time. Your client sees one clean editorial surface; you see a labeled shortlist.
Clients mark favorites on mobile and desktop with a single tap. The selection list imports into your DAM as a CSV, an XMP sidecar, or directly into Lightroom and Capture One catalogs.
Apply a watermark to every preview, lifted on download of the final selects. Text, logo and tiled variants are all supported—with placement, opacity and edge bleed tuned for both light and dark gallery skins.
Direct integration with Bay Photo, White House Custom Colour and Miller’s Professional Imaging ships as a built-in on every plan. Clients order prints straight from the favorites list—no extra checkout, no commission on the order.
A working photographer’s site shouldn’t be a brochure. It should be the place where clients book, proof, select, and order prints—without a single hand-off to a third-party tool.
